Mateo, CA—Following the
tragic disappearance of Kenya Air Flight 507 on May 5th near Douala, Cameroon,
O'Reilly & Danko has formed an Action Group
with Stewarts Solicitors of London to determine the cause of the accident and to
seek compensation for the families. The Group currently represents families
from the United States, England, Cameroon, Kenya and South Africa.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft, bound for Nairobi, went missing shortly after departure from Douala. It was discovered in dense jungle about 5km from the airport. The investigation to determine the cause of the accident continues. Although the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder have been recovered and read, Cameroon authorities have not released any information. Boeing has previously experienced loss of stability control in other 737-800's. Despite a very experienced crew - including a pilot with 8,000 hours in this type of aircraft - the 737-800 did a slow, uncontrolled roll-over into the ground shortly after take-off. O'Reilly & Danko continues to investigate and anticipates discussions with the insurers in the next sixty days. For more information, please contact the firm at or by telephone: + 1 (650) 358-5901 |
